August 2005

We are officially underway!!!

April 2005

"Our draftsman completed the attached support building (office) a few weeks ago. Our project is back at Planning and zoning awaiting approval with the newest changes. I have scanned a photo of the attached building and send as an attachment. We will keep you apprised of our progress."

plan of Mike & Rebecca's attached support/ office building
This is a great example of how you can adapt our blueprints - we designed them to be flexible! It is a great idea to have the office/reception building separate so that the comings & goings do not adversely affect the dogs

Feb 2005

Mike & Rebecca bought our 16 Kennels Blueprints

"I was ready to purchase plans for a 12 run, additional room, walkway.... only changing them to get 16 runs. I see that you are working on a 16.
How soon can you make this available to us? I have an appointment tomorrow with my lender, have approval from county, ready to give general contractor a set of plans. Please help! We already put bids out for well, septic and driveway. We are ready to go!"

Shortly after we introduced the 16 Kennel Blueprints

Sept 2004

"Even if you only have a drawing or sketch of the covered walkway and the reception building attached. If it is appealing to me I will await the plans. Thanks!"

Aug 2004

Mike & Rebecca became Members
"Bought membership for 'more information'. Boarding and Training. Approved Kennel project with zoning and planning. Ready to select design and contractor"

"I have e-mailed before and purchased your books.

June 2004

Bought a property and move in 30 June.
"My next step is ordering plans. I have been undecided on which to build. 20-24 runs is my immediate need. An attached office will be in place also. I was wondering if you have any more drawings or even plans for the L-shaped kennel with a central kitchen would be available to me.

It is in your book but I dont see any reference on your website. I like that design the best and think it would make the best kennel for our needs. If you can be of any assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any guidence you may offer.

We are ready to build but are not sure of design. The L-shaped is probably the way I would choose now but I cannot look at a more detailed drawing. If you have any drawing or could refer me to someone it would be appreciated.

I also saw you have some new designs that will be availible soon. could you give us a basic description to see if one of those would be better suited. We are at a point to select design so the contractor can give estimates. Thank you in advance for your assistance. We will buy our blueprints from you when a decesion is made on design. Excited to get started!"

We wrote back to Mike explaining that more unusual shapes tend to be more expensive to build than straightforward rectangular buildings, and tend to be slightly more wasteful in it's land usage (you can read our answer in Blueprint FAQs) . Shortly after we introduced new 12 & 20 Blueprints which included walkways & stores.

Nov 2003

Trying to decide whether to build one x 20 kennels or two x 12 kennels

Sept 2003

First got in contact with us & bought books. Their plans were to open a boarding kennel and they were at the ideas & beginning phase. They bought copies of "Essential Kennel Design" and "Running your own Boarding Kennels"
