David Key is occasionally also able to take on commercial boarding
kennels consultancy work as well as assisting charities, rescues & shelters.
This involves giving advice on existing kennels & catteries,
audits of potential sites/ existing properties and proposed new schemes.
This can take the form of a one-off visit
to assess the site
& can incorporate design work
- OR -
David's knowledge can be used off-site to assess proposed schemes,
highlighting problem or weak areas & provide
solutions
before reaching the building stage.
- OR -
David can provide a Kennels Noise Report which can be
used
pre-construction of
your kennels (if your local authority have asked for information about potential
noise levels, or it is a condition of your Planning/Zoning Permission. Or post-construction if
you have received a noise complaint and are unsure of what to do next.
It is rare to find an architect with the animal welfare and staff working
knowledge to make the most of a site. This is particularly important in large
developments such as charities.
However, if you are using our Kennel
Design blueprints this obviously takes a big chunk of the worry out of the
way.
The Kennel Design book may
be enough help in itself, especially if you are using our Kennel Blueprints.
Through the book, we aim to provide more architects with practical knowledge
of animal housing, to enable them to fulfil their clients' needs.
However, for bespoke designs or more complex
scenarios David's help is invaluable. Please find out more about our Membership or contact
us if you would like to know more.
